IWG's Approach to

“I almost stopped doing one of the things I am most passionate about, working out.”

Hear from one of our patients

The patient reported her heart racing  when working out and an inability to get pregnant.  She had a history of miscarriages.

What they came in with:

The patient reported her heart racing  when working out and an inability to get pregnant.  She had a history of miscarriages.

IWG custom approach

IWG set the patient up on a two phase program.  The first phase focused on improving the function of the adrenal and decreasing stress hormones.  Through supplements and herbs, we increased the production of her feel good hormones.   The second phase we worked to  balance her hormones specifically increasing progesterone and DHEA production.  In addition,  we improved iron levels through diet and supplementation.

What we found to be the root cause

A neuro-endocrine panel was completed which showed adrenal fatigue due to overproduction of stress hormones which were suppressing the production of sex hormones as well as a lack of feel good hormones such as dopamine, taurine, and serotonin.  The blood work reported that the patient was pre-diabetic due to the high amounts of stress hormones that were keeping blood sugar high.  Our analysis discovered that the patient was severely iron deficient which was a contributor to infertility.

Hormones will be completely compromised and suppressed in the event there is emotional stress or immune stress.

1 Month results:

The patient experienced an improvement in most of her symptoms with

  • blood sugar decrease
  • decrease in adrenaline and cortisol.
  • heart rate stabilized

Best of all she was able to keep her heart rate  remain in normal ranges with her endurance workouts.

3 month results:

Upon retesting the patient was not absorbing her iron properly so IWG opted to test for Candida Yeast in the gut. We found a genetic mutation called MTHFR which can affect fertility.  Our patient tested positive for the MTHFR gene mutation and the Candida antibodies.

6 month results:

After starting a Candida cleanse, the patient successfully  resumed hormone balancing support.

12 Month Results:

Our patient is now able to absorb iron and reports feeling better than she has in years.  She and her husband are currently trying to get pregnant.
