How do I get started and what do my visits look like?
So you schedule an initial consultation and examination with Dr. Kyle. Dr. Kyle proceeds to check every joint in your body, starting at the big toe up to the base of the skull, for dysfunction. He will check the muscles for tension and/or imbalances. The exam is completed with comprehensive neurological testing that includes muscle testing and neurological firing.
What about continued care?
You will meet with Dr. Kyle to review the findings from the examination. He will explain the pattern of imbalances and how they will rehab your body back to perfect health. You will then receive an full body all-inclusive adjustment and craniosacral therapy. The doctors of IWG have different areas of expertise but they are always communicating and co-managing patient cases. Upon recommending care, the doctors may or may not suggest other services to compliment your goals.

From birth to adolescence, the young body can undergo many stressors and changes. We assess the entire spine, extremities, muscle tone, range of motion, and primitive reflexes that should be present or absent based on age. This information will be used in order to restore proper function to the body so it can grow, develop, and thrive at its full potential.
After assessing the structure and movement of the spine, specific, delicate corrections are made in order to re-establish proper nervous system function. Utilizing techniques such as soft tissue work and Craniosacral therapy allows us to address and support issues that may arise from stress on the nervous system, and keep the body balanced.
At IWG, we will first provide a thorough evaluation in order to determine the root cause of the symptoms present. This evaluation will include and in depth discussion about your child’s conception, pregnancy, delivery, feeding and nutrition, and post-natal care. Afterward, a physical examination of the structure, position, and range of motion of your child’s spine, cranial bones, and extremities. Primitive reflexes, which should be present or absent based on age will also provide valuable neurological information. After a discussion regarding your goals and expectations, a specific course of care will be discussed in order to allow for the best results for your child’s healing, growth, and development.
Stressors on the spine and extremities cause misalignments in these joints. By assessing these during the examination, we are able to deliver specific, gentle corrections using our fingertips in order to reestablish proper function to the nervous system. Another technique that is very useful in this population is Craniosacral Technique (CST) which utilizes delicate pressure points on the head and sacrum to restore optimum flow of the blood and cerebrospinal fluid to keep the brain and body balanced.
These types of adjustments use the same amount of pressure as you might use to place a dent in a ripe tomato. After an adjustment, parents have reported common side effects of a healthy bowel movement, sleeping better, improved temperament, and improved range of motion. The primary outcome of pediatric Chiropractic care is to allow the nervous system to function optimally so your baby can grow, develop, thrive, and experience the opportunity to live life to the fullest.
A series of studies published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (JMPT) by Brennan and Triano showed that several types of immune system cells, including phagocytes, neutrophils, and PMNs, showed increased biological activity after chiropractic adjustment. Any questions and concerns will always be addressed and discussed at each visit.
We strictly perform light touch adjustments with no “cracking” in addition to craniosacral therapy which is a two-point touch therapy.
